The Horrors are a British rock band formed in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, in 2005. The lineup consists of lead vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, bassist Rhys Webb, keyboardist Amelia "Millie" Kidd, and drummer Jordan Cook. The band is renowned for their dynamic sound, blending elements of gothic rock, post-punk revival, shoegaze, and indie rock. ​

The Horrors emerged from a shared passion for obscure vinyl and garage rock, quickly gaining attention with their debut single, "Sheena Is a Parasite." ​Their first album introduced their raw, garage-punk sound, establishing them as a distinctive force in the UK music scene.​

Subsequent albums like Skying (2011), Luminous (2014), and V (2017) showcased their growth, each offering unique sounds and concepts.​ In October 2024, The Horrors released "The Silence That Remains," the lead single from their forthcoming sixth album, Night Life, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
